Job summary

Whole Foods Market Dayton is seeking a Produce Team Member to support receiving and preparing products, maintain the Produce floor and displays, and assist in selling according to WFM standards. Responsibilities include stocking shelves, preventing spoilage, and providing courteous service to customers and Team Members.

The role requires a flexible schedule, physical lifting up to 50 pounds, and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Stand for long periods in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep cases and shelves clean and well stocked with front-faced products.
• Assist in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
• Monitor spoilage and communicate waste to buyers, Team Leaders, and shift supervisor.
• Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assist with periodic inventory checks.
• Provide excellent customer service and answer phones promptly and courteously.
• Maximize sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follow procedures including health and safety rules and Weights & Measures.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work and shopping environment; keep equipment clean.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; ensure pricing accuracy.
• Report safety hazards immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
