Responsibilities

• Exhibit and develop maximum customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
• Promote high store morale with open, honest communication.
• Maintain good relationships with other departments to improve sales.
• Comply with all company policies and the Code of Conduct.
• Provide professional examples for other team members to follow.
• Assist in planning, organizing, and directing Produce Department activities.
• Cost out all materials to determine proper retails and prepare master production sheets.
• Assist in training, evaluation, and counseling of department personnel.
• Teach fundamentals of produce production: slicing, peeling, stacking, organizing, washing, finishing.
• Plan merchandising programs and cross-merchandising ideas with other departments.
• Assist in labor and inventory control per budgets and guidelines.
• Maintain department security per policy and directives.
• Monitor competitive activity and protect company interests.
• Conduct receiving, storing, pricing, and merchandising of all produce.
• Coordinate with other departments for smooth flow of products and service.
