Job summary

Ridley’s Family Markets is seeking a Produce Department team member. You will deliver friendly customer service, support pricing, and handle basic produce prep tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires a willingness to learn, basic math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lb. Forklift/pallet jack certification may be needed, and some roles require food handler permits. 18+; tobacco/alcohol rules may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be able to cost out all material to determine proper retails.
• Forklift and/or pallet jack certification may be required.
• Food handlers permit may be required depending on location.
• No formal experience required.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit maximum customer relations through friendly, courteous behavior.
• Promote high morale within department and store with professional communication.
• Comply with company policies and Code of Conduct.
• Cost out materials to determine proper retails.
• Teach fundamentals of produce production: slicing, peeling, stacking, organizing, washing, finishing.
• Assist in maintaining department security as directed.
• Monitor competitive activity and protect company interests.
• Maintain department records and documentation.
