• Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume.
• Train associates on performance and participate in appraisals.
• Create welcoming, helpful customer interactions and answer product questions.
• Inform customers of specials and offer product samples.
• Review products for quality and freshness; take action as needed.
• Create and execute a department business plan to achieve results.
• Coordinate sales promotions with store management.
• Educate associates about current and upcoming promotions.
• Prepare seasonal critiques for the sales and merchandising supervisor.
• Implement the department's promotional plan.
• Assist in budget, expense control, and profit/loss reviews.
• Plan price changes and update shelf tags daily.
• Organize inventory; monitor stocking conditions and CAO training.
• Ensure proper temperatures; maintain temperature logs.
• Reinforce safety programs and report safety risks or incidents.
• Follow local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Handle high-paced, sometimes stressful environments.
• Manage conflicts in a cooperative manner.
• Maintain honesty and integrity regarding information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Provide support with minors, special needs individuals, and/or older adults.
