Job summary

The GIANT Company in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a capable store team member for the Produce department. You will review schedules, stock items, and help maintain displays while following food safety and PPE requirements.

This role demands physical stamina, forklift training, and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork. 8-hour shifts, standing majority of time, with opportunities to grow within our locally trusted retailer.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand to complete duties.
• Must complete 60-day probationary period.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements.
• Must be able to use equipment and tools safely.
• Must adhere to food safety requirements for the produce department.
• Must have and maintain required licenses or permits.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at shift start and prepare PPE and supplies.
• Enter orders, schedule work, supervise and train team members, stock items.
• Check inventory daily, remove out-of-date items, stock displays.
• Aim to achieve KPI targets for the department.
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces, tools, cases, floors and counters.
• Track loss using known loss tracking (KLT).
