Job summary

The GIANT Company in Harrisburg, PA is seeking a store team member to support the Produce department and daily operations. You’ll review the schedule, prep equipment and PPE, and help maintain product displays while following safety rules.

You will manage inventory, stock items, perform stock checks, and contribute to KPI goals. Strong reading, basic keyboarding, and physical stamina for 8-hour shifts are required in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Able to read, write, communicate, and understand to perform duties and follow policies
• Complete the company introductory period (probationary) of 60 days
• Meet ergonomic and physical requirements for this position
• Able to use or learn to use the equipment and tools for the job
• Must perform all job functions safely
• Meet company performance standards including regular attendance
• Adhere to food safety requirements for the Produce department
• Wear proper assigned clothes and shoes for this job
• Must have 1 year of work experience or technical training
• Must have and maintain valid specialty licenses, certificates, or permits required for the position
• Must complete the in-house forklift-training program

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at shift start, check equipment and PPE, and prepare for duties.
• Enter orders, schedule work, supervise and train team members, stock items and perform department tasks.
• Check inventory daily, remove out-of-date items, restock displays and maintain displays.
• Responsible for achieving all KPI targets for the department.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors and counters.
• Track losses using known loss tracking system (KLT).
