99 Ranch Market in California invites applications for Management in Training (MIT) in the Produce Department. This short-term program prepares MITs to become Produce Department Manager, with potential progression in about 3–5 months based on performance and learning progress.

The MIT role covers department ops, customer service, sales, inventory, and compliance. It includes hands-on training, leadership development, and responsibilities in ordering, stocking, display, and safety.

Qualifications

• 1 year of supervisory experience in the produce department or equivalent.
• Bilingual in English/Mandarin, English/Cantonese, or English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to work assigned schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Currently possess or have the ability to possess a Food Handler's certificate.

Responsibilities

• Overall Department Operation: oversee the Produce department and optimize product display, inventory, and processing.
• Customer Service: ensure excellent service and address issues with action plans.
• Sales & Financial Performance: drive sales, control labor and shrink, and analyze data.
• Stocking & Receiving: manage ordering, receiving, FIFO, and labeling.
• Cashier & Product Return: lead cash handling and returns procedures.
• Compliance, Loss Prevention, & Reporting: enforce policies and report incidents.
• Safety: maintain safe and sanitary working environment.
• Maintenance & Sustainability: maintain equipment and manage product expiry.
• Promotion & Demo: plan promotions and organize demos.
