99 Ranch Market in Foster City, CA is seeking a Manager in Training for the Produce Department. The program runs 6–8 months, leading to in-store placement with SOP adherence, product knowledge, planning, ordering, organization and supervision.

During training, compensation is $20.00–$28.00 per hour; after final assessment, promotion to exempt status is possible. Flexibility, travel for training, and focus on freshness and team leadership are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in produce, grocery retail, food service, or related fields.
• 1 year of management/supervisor experience required.
• Flexible schedule with night, weekends & holidays and potential store relocation.
• Ability to travel between stores for training purposes.
• Capable of reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures and training materials.
• Bilingual English, Chinese, and Spanish is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Produce Department SOP, product knowledge, planning, ordering, organization, and supervision.
• Manage daily operation and meet company standards.
• Collaborate with store management on promotions and sales targets.
• Maintain attractive, fresh, fully stocked displays.
• Order products based on on-hand inventory, promotions, and trends.
• Receive shipments, inspect quantity, quality, and freshness.
• Control inventory movement (FIFO) and shrink, count physical inventory.
• Ensure food-safety standards and proper labeling and storage.
