Job summary

The GIANT Company in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a Produce Department team member. You will review schedules, stock shelves, check dates, and assist customers while maintaining food safety standards.

You will handle receiving, stock, displays, and comply with PPE requirements as part of a busy produce team, with shifts of at least 8 hours and emphasis on teamwork and accuracy. A 60-day probationary period applies.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand instructions.
• Must complete a 60-day introductory period.
• Must meet ergonomic/physical requirements and company safety standards.
• Must be able to use equipment and tools for duties.
• Must maintain regular attendance.
• Must adhere to food safety requirements for the produce department.
• Must wear the assigned clothes and shoes.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at shift start and prepare for duties.
• Enter orders, schedule work, supervise/train team members, stock items, and perform depletions.
• Check inventory daily, remove out-of-date items, stock displays, and maintain coolers.
• Achieve KPI targets for the department.
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces, tools, displays, floors, and counters.
• Track loss using known loss tracking (KLT).
