Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager in Bakersfield, CA to help customers choose healthy foods and lead one of the busiest store teams. You will support the Produce Manager with merchandising, inventory, and staff development in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with basic math knowledge.
• Reliable with flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow safety/health regulations including Food Handler permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in department management, merchandising, and productivity.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness by proper receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, and rotation.
• Support hiring, teaching, training, and development of the Produce team.
