Job summary

Kroger in Lebanon, KY is seeking a front-end associate to create an outstanding customer experience through friendly service. You will help maintain a safe, clean store and assist the department manager in achieving sales and quality standards.

You will learn products, answer questions, stock and label merchandise, and support associates to ensure customers feel welcome and valued while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Current food handlers permit once employed.

• Adequately prepare, package, label and inventory merchandise.
• Review/inspect products for quality and freshness and take action.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers and maintain logs.
• Reinforce safety procedures and notify management of unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Notify management of accidents.
• Report safety risks or illegal activity to store management.
• Work cooperatively in high paced and stressful environment.
• Manage conflict in a professional manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
