Job summary

Whole Foods Market in San Ramon, CA is seeking an entry-level Produce Team member to support receiving, prepping, stocking, and displaying products according to WFM standards.

You will deliver friendly, efficient service to customers and Team Members, learn product knowledge, and help maintain a clean, safe, and attractive Produce department while supporting store programs and health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Keep cases and shelves clean, stocked, and front-faced; rotate stock and check codes.
• Assist Team Leader in displaying volume and seasonal items.
• Monitor spoilage and communicate waste to buyers and leadership.
• Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assist with periodic inventory checks.
• Be punctual, groomed, and ready for shifts; attend trainings.
• Provide excellent customer service, use suggestive selling, and answer phones promptly.
• Maximize sales through proper prep, storage, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follow procedures for weights, measures, sanitation, and safety.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work/shopping environment and safe equipment.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties and ensure accurate pricing.
• Report safety hazards or violations immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
