Job summary

Joe V’s Smart Shop, a division of H-E-B in the Greater Houston area, is seeking a Produce/Bakery Specialist. You will maintain Produce and Bakery areas, assist customers, and support safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

Your role focuses on in-stock conditions, customer service, and adherence to department procedures, with opportunities to contribute to displays and product knowledge. Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Experience in customer service.
• Knowledge of product rotation, sanitation, shrink awareness.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Demonstrated initiative and dependability.
• Completion of required job skills and compliance-related training.

Responsibilities

• Stock and rotate items as needed.
• Load, unload, and move heavy products to support in-stock conditions.
• Build, stock, sign, and maintain store displays as directed.
• Check shipments for out-of-date and damaged products; ensure freshness.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with selections.
