Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in Business Administration or related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in a Purchasing Warehouse Assistant role within the Food & Food Processing industry.
• Experience in handling inbound and outbound calls and email correspondence professionally and timely.

Responsibilities

• Support purchasing warehouses with new vendor setup for Facilities/Plants.
• Maintain/record keeping (Document Control); follow up with vendors on COI, W-9, and NDAs.
• Coordinate with HR, Safety, and QA for New Vendor Onboarding, SDS, training, and sample testing/approval.
• Identify and submit requests for new item numbers.
• Complete credit applications with docs for Director of Procurement’s signature.
• Support Warehouse Manager and Purchasing Agents with internal department requests.
• Handle all requests for FedEx/UPS deliveries inbound and outbound.
• Assist with internal research on new/existing vendors that can support our needs.
• Respond to vendor questions and share documents as requested.
• Organize central filing system; make copies, fax, and file documents.
