Job summary

Central Valley Meat Company is seeking a Shipping Specialist to coordinate outbound shipments, ensure accuracy of shipping documentation, and maintain clear communication with internal teams and external partners.

You will verify orders, packing slips, and invoices; monitor inventory; and prepare routine shipping and inventory reports. The role requires a detail-oriented, proactive individual who can work independently or with teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience in logistics, inventory, or shipping may be considered.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with spreadsheets, inventory systems, and report generation is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to problem-solve independently.
• Must be able to work a weekly rotating schedule and Saturday shifts in rotation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of finished goods.
• Verify and reconcile shipping documents, including sales orders, packing slips, and invoices for all entities.
• Monitor finished product inventory and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
• Maintain accurate records of outbound shipments and retention of documentation.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff, production teams, and 3PLs to optimize shipping operations.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly shipping and inventory reports.
• Identify delays, damages, or shipment issues and communicate to the appropriate parties.
• Enter data related to shipments and inventory into internal systems and Excel.
• Support process improvements within shipping and logistics.
