Job summary

Gartner is seeking a Senior Director, Analyst – Procurement – Strategy to lead high-impact research within the BTI group. You will shape procurement strategy content, mentor analysts, and drive client outcomes through thought leadership, written research, and strategic presentations at Gartner events and client briefings.

The role requires executive presence, deep procurement expertise, and the ability to navigate a global, matrixed organization with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred.
• 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience.
• Executive presence and credibility with executives.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellence in research and writing ability.
• Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills.
• Ability to analyze and synthesize data and defend conclusions.
• Strong communicator able to explain complex concepts concisely.
• Subject matter expert comfortable presenting at large and small speaking engagements.
• Travel up to 25% where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative, thought provoking, and highly leveraged must-have research content.
• Develop new research and ideas through thought leadership to meet client needs.
• Analyze root causes of client barriers to drive strategy forward.
• Demonstrate thought leadership and establish research positions across the team.
• Provide independent insights to evolve Gartner’s research agenda.
• Present high value materials for Gartner events and client briefings.
• Support research and sales by providing market voice and client engagement insights.
• Provide high quality content peer review and research methodology representation.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate across teams to deliver service.
• Engage clients with actionable guidance via in-person or virtual interactions.
