Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Sourcing Engineer in Sedalia, MO to lead strategic sourcing initiatives and strengthen supplier partnerships. You will work closely with the materials team to resolve escalations and ensure critical components meet production needs, while expanding supplier capabilities and driving continuous improvement.

This onsite role offers exposure to diverse product lines, global supply networks, and meaningful projects that impact plant performance and long-term supply chain

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or supplier management.
• 2+ years negotiating with suppliers on pricing, terms, lead times, or related topics.
• 2+ years analyzing sourcing spend, PPV, or supplier data to identify savings.
• 2+ years of Excel data analysis including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• 1+ years leading sourcing initiatives (RFQ/RFP, cost-reduction, supplier qualification).

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and manage sourcing projects that reduce material costs and achieve savings goals.
• Lead RFQ/RFP activities and negotiate supplier pricing, payment terms, lead times, and other commercial terms.
• Partner with suppliers and internal teams to qualify new parts and support sourcing transitions.
• Monitor commodity pricing, market trends, and global events that may affect supplier pricing or supply.
