Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation seeks a Procurement Specialist to handle routine purchasing for materials, supplies, and services. You will review requisitions, place orders with approved suppliers, evaluate bids, and negotiate terms to ensure timely delivery and quality.

You will also support procurement metrics reporting, participate in negotiations for major purchases, and assist in subcontract closeouts, collaborating with executives, program managers, engineers, and infrastructure managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2 years purchasing experience.
• Experience with MS Office Suite is required.
• Experience with databases.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and low-mid value purchasing tasks for materials, supplies, or services.
• Review purchase requisitions and place orders with approved suppliers; evaluate bids and negotiate price, delivery, and quality.
• Follow up on awards until order completion.
• Manage records, file maintenance, and report procurement metrics.
• Assist in negotiations for major purchases and support subcontract closeout.
• Interface with executives, program managers, engineers, and infrastructure managers on procurement issues.
• Support procurement managers in closeout of subcontracts and consulting agreements.
