Industrial Scientific Corporation is seeking a Procurement Specialist to develop and execute strategic commodity plans for the Global Procurement team. The role supports NPI and cross-functional efforts with engineering, PM, and R&D to source BOM requirements and manage supply risk.

You will drive year-over-year cost reduction, on-time delivery, and working capital improvements while acting as the first line of defense for shortages and price escalations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 3+ years in supply chain, procurement, or inventory management.
• Strong project management and organization skills.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems and BOM/sourcing concepts.
• Analytical problem-solving and data-driven decision making.
• Negotiation and supplier relationship management experience.
• Oracle and MS Office proficiency preferred.
• Some travel may be required.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute strategic commodity plans for Global Procurement.
• Act as first line of defense for shortages and escalations.
• Interface with suppliers on delivery status and issue resolution.
• Support RFQ activities and supplier qualification processes.
• Drive year-over-year cost reductions and improve working capital.
• Coordinate supplier audits and compliance with FDA or government requirements.
• Place POs and manage pricing discrepancies.
• Lead readiness activities for new product introductions with suppliers.
