The Material Procurement group is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join its dedicated and hardworking team at Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C). The team procures a wide range of materials, from small consumables to multimillion dollar fabrications and plays a key role in supporting H2C's mission. Each day offers fast paced and diverse challenges as the group works to ensure materials are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time.
Under general supervision, the individual will primarily focus on expediting duties, with responsibilities including ensuring timely delivery, resolving delays, and coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to keep orders on track. This role will follow prescribed procedures to support on‑time completion of all procurement activities. The individual will also solicit, negotiate, place, and administer purchase orders for various materials in accordance with established requirements.

In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
