Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) delivers exceptional performance in safely removing, treating, and disposing of tank waste. H2C leads the nation’s largest and most complex radioactive waste cleanup, including closure of the legacy waste tanks at Hanford containing 56 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste.

H2C is looking for a Buyer Technical Representative (BTR) in the Tank Farm Projects (TFP) Construction department. The BTR is responsible for supporting or developing procurement strategies, initiating procurement actions, administering and providing support for subcontracts which may include schedule, cost control, and technical oversight that varies in both scope and complexity. Serves as liaison between the Project Team, Procurement Department, and Subcontractor regarding technical and/or administrative issues after award of purchase order, contract or agreement and ensures work activities are successfully completed per the stated terms and conditions. Contributes to, or initiates and coordinates, the development of Subcontract Statements of Work (SOW) and helps to ensure technical evaluation criteria are included for solicitation. Assists with, or initiates, compliant contract requisitions of varying complexity and all other required/applicable documents. Qualify and perform as a fully competent Buyer Technical Representative (BTR)/Subcontract Technical Representative (STR) as appropriate to perform assigned duties and responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
Grade 18:
Successfully completes the BTR Qualification within sixty (60) days of hire and maintains qualification accordingly.
Grade 19:
Successfully completes the BTR Qualification within sixty (60) days of hire and maintains qualification accordingly.
Grade 20:
Successfully completes the BTR Qualification within sixty (60) days of hire and maintains qualification accordingly.
Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.

In accordance with the company’s philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate’s qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate’s prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
Hiring Range Minimum: $109,013
Hiring Range Maximum: $166,263
