Job summary

The QTI Group, in the Greater Madison area, seeks a Procurement Specialist reporting to the Purchasing Manager to source and negotiate procured commodities/services and coordinate the purchasing process. This role will also provide essential procurement support and analysis.

Responsibilities include supplier sourcing, obtaining quotes, evaluating pricing, and maintaining MRP data to generate relevant reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or similar field.
• 3+ years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain role.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP system.
• Manufacturing setting experience preferred.

• Perform sourcing, negotiating and developing purchasing agreements with suppliers.
• Obtain quotes from vendors and compare to identify competitive pricing.
• Perform supplier analysis related to pricing and quality; select alternative suppliers when needed.
• Manage database including updating MRP data and reporting for purchasing data.

• Obtain quotes from vendors, comparing quotes to identify competitive pricing
• Perform supplier analysis related to pricing and quality, selecting alternative suppliers when needed
• Database management including updating MRP data and report generation for various purchasing data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or similar field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain-oriented role
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP system
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting strongly preferred
