Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a procurement professional to support sourcing, purchasing, and supplier coordination for manufacturing needs. You will process POs in SAP and work with engineering to align on BOMs and production requirements.

The role focuses on timely supplier communications, quotation management, and ensuring material availability during ramp-up in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience supporting procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain operations.
• Ability to interpret BOMs and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong organizational, communication, and supplier-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Interface with suppliers to obtain quotations and support sourcing activities.
• Create, process, and maintain purchase orders within SAP.
• Support procurement activities associated with production and manufacturing requirements.
• Coordinate supplier communications and follow up on open actions, quotations, and deliveries.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering teams to support outsourcing and sourcing initiatives.
• Monitor supplier performance related to quotations, delivery commitments, lead times, and responsiveness.
• Support material availability and purchasing activities during production ramp-up.
• Maintain procurement records, purchasing documentation, and supplier information.
• Assist with supplier onboarding and related administrative activities.
• Escalate supplier, delivery, and material-related concerns when appropriate.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure materials and components are available according to production schedules.

This role will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and suppliers to obtain quotations, issue and manage purchase orders, coordinate material requirements, and ensure timely delivery of components needed for production.

Responsibilities

• Interface with suppliers to obtain quotations and support sourcing activities.
• Create, process, and maintain purchase orders within SAP.
• Support procurement activities associated with production and manufacturing requirements.
• Coordinate supplier communications and follow up on open actions, quotations, and deliveries.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering teams to support outsourcing and sourcing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret basic engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong organizational, communication, and supplier-management skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple suppliers, purchase orders, and priorities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills

• Manufacturing industry procurement experience.
• Experience supporting supplier sourcing, RFQs, and quotation activities.
• Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing processes.
• Experience working directly with suppliers on pricing, lead times, delivery, and production requirements.
• Experience supporting new facility startups, NPI, or production ramp-up initiatives.
