Akkodis is seeking a Procurement Specialist 4 for a Contract with a client located Charlotte, NC- Hybrid, strong-hands on experience with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sourcing, mechanical manufacturing processes, SAP, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Rate Range: $42/hr - $45/hr (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Commodity Circles within the assigned area, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Ensure visibility into cost structures and spending for assigned commodities.
• Create and implement sourcing initiatives and procurement strategies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 6 to 12 years of experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sourcing, Engineering, or a related function within manufacturing/machinery industries.
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with experience using financial and data-driven decision-making approaches.
• Solid understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes.
• Experience with procurement systems and tools, including SAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong cost management and supply chain risk management skills.
• Ability to develop sourcing strategies for complex commodities.
• Knowledge of contract management, commercial terms, and conditions.
• Experience negotiating long-term contracts and managing supplier relationships.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a global matrix organization.
• Willingness to travel 10-15% domestically and internationally.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
