Overview

Akkodis is seeking Inventory Control Specialist Contract with a direct client in Grand Rapids MI 49512.

Base pay range: $30.00/hr - $35.00/hr. Pay Range: $30 - $35/hr on W2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors).

Position: Inventory Control Specialist

Location: Grand Rapids MI 49512

Duration: 3 Months contract

Top Skills/Requirements

• Excel (they don’t need to know pivot tables but need to be able to use Vlookup and others)
• Be able to create spreadsheets and work through workflows (they will train on the workflows)
• 2+ years of experience in professional setting using Excel
• Must be okay with Contract until the end of the year – there is a possibility for permanent hire or extension but no promises.
• Must be good with computers.
• Use MS Excel to do inventory of test equipment and products, fill out workflows
• Knowledge of test equipment (Desired)
• Years of Experience: At least five years’ experience in a manufacturing setting.
• At least 2 years\' experience in project management or data analysis.
• Hardware / Software Knowledge Needed: Microsoft Office, ERP systems experience, MS Excel
• Manufacturing/logistics planning and data entry background. Demonstrated ability to problem solve, work with minimal management oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and record all incoming and outgoing materials and products.
• Maintain Records: Keep accurate, up-to-date records of inventory levels, product details, and movements.
• Data Management: Input data into inventory management systems and generate reports on inventory levels and issues.
• Investigate discrepancies between physical counts and records, identifying issues such as theft or damage.
• Quality Control: Perform checks on incoming and stored inventory, discarding items that don\'t meet quality standards.
• Coordination: Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and other departments to ensure timely product availability and smooth operations.

• Organizational Skills: Essential for managing large amounts of data and products.
• Attention to Detail: Crucial for maintaining accurate records and preventing costly errors.
• Clerical Skills: Performing data entry, record-keeping, and other administrative tasks.
