YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for purchasing electrical equipment, construction materials, and issuing subcontracts. This role manages, plans/forecasts, and procures inventory with the Procurement Department for multiple suppliers, aligning with company strategic objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

1. Receive verbal and written requisitions for materials and equipment from project managers and field operations.
2. Review and source materials and equipment following established company practices and procedures.
3. Solicit quotations from vendors; review, analyze, and present findings emphasizing economic value and procurement objectives.
4. Generate and distribute purchase orders according to company procedures.
5. Track and expedite existing orders; update and maintain procurement scheduling systems.
6. Support estimating by contacting vendors for quotations for bids.
7. Prepare submittal documentation for project managers.
8. Perform additional duties as directed by management.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• Knowledge of electrical equipment and construction materials.
• Understanding of procurement techniques, policies, and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office; Oracle experience preferred.
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and a team player.
• Ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff, vendors, and clients.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a fast-paced environment with electrical procurement.
• Relevant education, training, or experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Primarily indoor work with varying environmental conditions, including fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. Work may involve sitting, standing, walking, typing, and bending.
