Job summary

Wonder is seeking a Merchant Intern in New Jersey to gain hands‑on experience in procurement, supplier relationship management, and category analysis within a dynamic food‑tech environment.

You will work with the merchant team to support supplier evaluation, cost analysis, and sustainability initiatives, balancing quality, cost, and operational efficiency in a fast‑paced setting. Hybrid work requires 3 days in the office, with options to be in the office up to 5 days.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Food Science, Business, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (bonus: SQL, Tableau, or other analytics tools).
• Passion for food, sustainability, and supply chain innovation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and evaluating new suppliers for produce, proteins, dairy, and specialty ingredients.
• Support data collection and analysis for cost modeling, supplier performance, and market trends.
• Participate in RFP (Request for Proposal) and vendor onboarding processes.
• Help monitor supplier compliance with food safety, quality, and sustainability standards.
• Conduct benchmarking research on commodity pricing and competitive sourcing strategies.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Culinary, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure sourcing decisions align with business needs.
• Prepare presentations and reports to summarize findings and recommendations for leadership.
