Alvarez & Marsal is hiring an Associate in Procurement & Sourcing for its Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice. Open to all U.S. locations with a focus on supply chain, sourcing, and procurement transformation for portfolio companies.

The role emphasizes leading project work streams, developing supplier strategies, and delivering quantifiable EBITDA improvements across private equity engagements. Travel up to 80% is possible.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of consulting or industry experience.
• Previous advisory experience from a top-tier strategy firm or Big-4 REQUIRED.
• Preference for industry roles within Sourcing and Procurement functions.
• Industry experience in direct and/or indirect categories.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver project work streams for complex client engagements with Private Equity teams.
• Identify, design, and implement procurement and sourcing solutions for portfolio companies.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with growth and financial objectives.
• Lead supplier identification, negotiations, and vendor relations.
• Create implementation plans to drive procurement changes and performance improvements.
• Conduct analyses as required by project scope.
