Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking an Associate in Procurement & Sourcing within the Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) team. You will lead select workstreams for portfolio companies, designing strategic sourcing and procurement solutions to accelerate EBITDA growth.

The role emphasizes hands-on analysis, supplier negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration with PE teams across the US. A 2-4+ year consulting or industry background is required.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of consulting or industry experience.
• Advisory experience from a top-tier strategy firm or Big-4 required.
• Preference for industry roles in Sourcing and Procurement.
• Experience in direct and/or indirect categories.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver project work streams for complex client engagements with Private Equity teams.
• Identify, design, and implement procurement and sourcing improvements.
• Develop and manage sourcing strategies aligned with forecasting, demand/supply planning, and logistics.
• Lead supplier identification, negotiations, and vendor relations.
• Create implementation plans for procurement changes and drive adoption.
• Conduct analysis as required by project scope.
