Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is hiring an Associate in Procurement & Sourcing within the Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice. Open to all U.S. locations, the role involves leading sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and end-to-end procurement initiatives for portfolio companies.

Seeking 2-4+ years of consulting or industry experience, with preference for advisory backgrounds from top-tier firms or Big-4. Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of consulting or industry experience.
• Preference for advisory experience from a top-tier strategy firm or Big-4.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or related fields.
• MBA/Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience managing direct and/or indirect categories.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver project work streams for complex engagements with Private Equity teams.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with forecast, demand/supply planning, inventory management, and distribution & logistics.
• Identify, design, and implement procurement improvements for portfolio companies.
• Manage supplier identification, contract negotiations, and vendor relations.
• Create implementation plans to drive procurement changes and perform analysis as needed.
