Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking an Associate in Procurement & Sourcing within the PEPI team to lead and deliver strategic sourcing engagements for private equity-backed portfolios. You will analyze procurement processes, design sourcing strategies, and collaborate with consultants to drive EBITDA improvements across supply chains.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of consulting or industry experience
• Previous advisory experience from a top-tier strategy firm or Big-4
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or related fields
• MBA/Master’s degree preferred
• Experience managing direct and/or indirect categories
• Demonstrated track record of leading sustainable high-impact strategic sourcing approaches
• Exemplary experience designing end-to-end procurement strategies
• Flexibility to travel up to 80% of the time

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver project work streams for complex client engagements
• Associates may conduct analyses and execute with team members to deliver results
• Understand a client’s procurement organization and strategic sourcing capabilities
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with forecasting, demand/supply planning, inventory management, and logistics
• Develop and manage efforts in sourcing and procurement
• Lead supplier identification, approval, contract/pricing negotiations and vendor relations
• Create implementation plans to drive changes in procurement and sourcing initiatives
