Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Dallas, TX is seeking a Procurement / Supply Chain Specialist to support supplier engagement, sourcing, purchasing, and material availability for the launch and ramp-up of a new manufacturing facility.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and suppliers to obtain quotations, issue and manage purchase orders in SAP, and ensure timely delivery of components for production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Experience supporting procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain operations.
• Ability to interpret basic engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong organizational, communication, and supplier-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Interface with suppliers to obtain quotations and support sourcing activities.
• Create, process, and maintain purchase orders within SAP.
• Support procurement activities associated with production and manufacturing requirements.
• Coordinate supplier communications and follow up on open actions, quotations, and deliveries.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering teams to support outsourcing and sourcing initiatives.
• Monitor supplier performance related to quotations, delivery commitments, lead times, and responsiveness.
• Support material availability and purchasing activities during production ramp-up.
• Maintain procurement records, purchasing documentation, and supplier information.
• Assist with supplier onboarding and related administrative activities.
• Escalate supplier, delivery, and material-related concerns when appropriate.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure materials and components are available according to production schedules.
