Job summary

Copeland is seeking a motivated Procurement Project Specialist – Sustaining based in Sidney, OH. You will drive supplier transitions and sustaining procurement projects, coordinating with Enterprise Procurement, Commodity Management, Supply Chain, and Engineering to ensure timely execution and readiness.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, adherence to timelines, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in tactical sourcing, procurement, or similar.
• Understanding of PO lifecycle, cost/price analysis, and logistics processes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in MS Office and data visualization tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and execution of supplier transitions, resourcing activities, and sustaining procurement projects aligned with business objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities to launch supplier changes with Operations, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics.
• Develop and manage project timelines, action plans, risk assessments, and milestones for successful implementation.
• Drive accountability across internal teams and suppliers to meet deliverables and readiness.
• Monitor critical project activities to mitigate risks and avoid supply disruptions.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, sourcing records, and status reporting.
• Support procurement strategies established by Center-Led Procurement teams.
• Identify and communicate project risks and escalation items to leadership.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for supply chain optimization.
