Job summary

Dessert Holdings in Aurora, Colorado is seeking a Buyer/Planner to manage day-to-day procurement, create and manage POs for raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and related supplies, and ensure timely delivery to support production.

You will balance inventory, lead times, shelf-life, and working capital while collaborating with Production Planning, Quality, and Procurement teams in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 2+ years in purchasing, planning, inventory control, or procurement.
• Food manufacturing/packaging experience preferred.
• Strong PO management and supplier follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage full PO lifecycle for raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and supplies.
• Track open POs daily to ensure on-time delivery and uninterrupted production.
• Coordinate with suppliers on delivery dates, quantities, pricing and changes.
• Identify and communicate supply risks such as delays or shortages.
• Partner with Production Planning, Operations, Warehouse, Quality and Procurement teams.
