Job summary

Dessert Holdings in Aurora, Colorado is seeking a Buyer/Planner to execute day-to-day procurement, manage purchase orders for raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and related supplies, and ensure materials arrive on time to support production. You will balance inventory, shelf-life, and working capital while collaborating with suppliers, production planning, quality, and procurement leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 2+ years in purchasing, planning, inventory control, or procurement.
• Food manufacturing, packaging or regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong PO management, supplier follow-up, lead times, and inventory planning.
• ERP systems experience; Dynamics 365 a plus; Excel proficiency required.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full PO lifecycle for raw materials, ingredients, packaging and related supplies.
• Monitor open POs daily to ensure on-time delivery and uninterrupted production.
• Coordinate with suppliers on delivery dates, quantities, pricing, and changes.
• Identify and elevate supply risks such as delays, shortages, and quality issues.
• Partner with Production Planning, Operations, Warehouse, Quality, and Procurement.
• Balance inventory and working capital while considering shelf-life and obsolescence.
