Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking a Staff Analyst Trainee in Procurement Operations to support contract and procurement functions from its 2 Broadway, Manhattan office. You will assist in preparing contracts, developing bid requirements, evaluating vendor qualifications, and negotiating through IFB and RFP processes, with a focus on cost analyses and documentation of negotiations.

• Prepare contracts per MTA procurement policies; develop, solicit, negotiate, and award contracts via IFB/RFP.
• Prepare all documentation and analyses; negotiate supplemental agreements and contract modifications.
• Collect, analyze, and report procurement data; develop bid submission requirements and evaluation criteria.
• Review vendor qualifications; conduct market surveys and qualification hearings; procure goods and services using informal procedures.
• Prepare cost and price analyses, develop negotiation strategies, negotiate pricing for procurement actions, and document outcomes.
