Boeing Employees Credit Union (BECU) is seeking a Manager, Procurement Operations to establish and lead a centralized Buy Desk within Strategic Sourcing. This role will shape the way purchasing operates across the organization, driving efficiency, governance, and better employee buying experiences.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in procurement with leadership experience, strong data analytics, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least four years in procurement, purchasing operations, strategic sourcing, procure-to-pay, or vendor management, with at least one year of people leadership.
• Experience interpreting vendor agreements (MSA, SOW, pricing) and translating requirements into operational transactions and controls.
• Experience analyzing procurement, vendor, or spend data, developing performance measures, identifying trends, and translating findings into actionable recommendations; strong communication, stakeholder management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and driving adoption of standardized procurement practices across an organization.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead BECU's centralized Buy Desk within Strategic Sourcing, building a scalable procurement operating model.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for procurement operations with clear priorities and performance expectations.
• Design and implement standardized procurement processes, including requisition intake, PO management, guided buying, vendor governance, workflow approvals, and issue resolution.
• Oversee day-to-day purchasing operations, ensuring POs align with vendor agreements, approved pricing, scope, and funding.
• Develop guided buying practices directing purchasing toward preferred vendors, established catalogs, and contracts while reducing inefficiencies.
• Partner with Strategic Sourcing, Vendor Management, Finance, Legal, Risk, Technology, Facilities, and business leaders to resolve challenges and improve processes.
• Lead procurement transformation and change management initiatives, including workflow design, testing, training, adoption, and stabilization.
• Develop and monitor procurement metrics, spend analytics, and reporting to improve visibility and compliance.
