Job summary

Scale Microgrids is seeking a Procurement Operations Manager to drive day-to-day procurement execution across equipment, materials, contractors, and other service providers. You will run RFQs/RFPs, manage PO execution, coordinate supplier follow-up in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Procurement & Supply Chain, this hybrid role is based at our Ridgewood, NJ headquarters and requires strong organization, problem-solving, and cross-functional

Qualifications

• 5+ years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain operations, project coordination, or related experience.
• Experience managing RFQs/RFPs, purchase orders, vendor follow-up, logistics, or other procurement execution activities.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and open actions.
• Comfortable communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders and escalating issues when needed.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders including engineering, project delivery, asset management, accounting, legal, and logistics.
• Experience with ERP, purchasing, procurement, or project-management systems is helpful.
• Experience supporting equipment- or project-based procurement is a plus.
• Experience with distributed energy resources is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement activities for equipment and components across batteries, solar PV, generators, and switchgear.
• Run RFQs and RFPs, organize bids, and prepare bid leveling and recommendations.
• Own purchase order execution and track open commitments, delivery dates, and documentation.
• Support supplier negotiations and execute purchases under approved strategies and MSAs.
• Coordinate logistics and material movements with suppliers, warehouses, and logistics providers.
• Maintain procurement trackers and required supplier documentation for compliance.
• Drive cross-functional follow-up to resolve procurement issues and discrepancies.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and efficiency.
