Job summary

Scale is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to accelerate the transition to decentralized energy. You will leverage deep Fortune 500 connections and lead complex national deals across multi-site clients, reporting to the VP, Business Development in a hybrid setting near NYC or Ridgewood.

The role focuses on building a robust microgrid pipeline, owning client relationships from lead generation to COD, and guiding negotiations with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in energy sales or BD with national opportunities.
• Deep understanding of distributed energy resources and US energy landscape.
• Experience selling to Fortune 500 clients.
• Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
• Strong MS Office and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop a robust pipeline of microgrid opportunities and meet annual targets.
• Own the client relationship from lead generation through COD.
• Lead commercial negotiations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strengthen channel partner relationships through strategic engagement.
• Apply market incentives to customer solutions through cross-functional collaboration.
• Contribute innovative ideas to strategic growth discussions.
• Analyze microgrid opportunities using Atlas tools and refine scope with Engineering teams.
• Collaborate across Scale to improve processes and efficiency.
• Travel ~25%.
