Job summary

Scale is seeking a Procurement Operations Manager to drive day-to-day procurement activities across equipment, materials, contractors, and service providers in a hybrid role based at our Ridgewood, NJ headquarters.

You will own RFQs/RFPs, manage purchase orders, track commitments and deliveries, coordinate logistics, and maintain procurement documentation while partnering with engineering, project delivery, asset management, and accounting teams to resolve issues and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain operations, project coordination, or related experience.
• Experience managing RFQs/RFPs, purchase orders, vendor follow-up, logistics, or other procurement execution activities.
• Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, details, deadlines, and open actions without losing follow-through.
• Comfortable communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders and escalating issues when needed.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability.
• Experience with ERP, purchasing, procurement, or project-management systems.
• Experience supporting equipment- or project-based procurement is a plus.
• Experience with distributed energy resources a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with engineering and project delivery teams to translate requirements into procurement activities for equipment and components.
• Partner with project delivery and asset management teams to support purchasing requirements.
• Run RFQs and RFPs, organize bids, and prepare commercial bid leveling and recommendations.
• Support supplier negotiations and execute purchases under approved strategies.
• Own purchase order execution and follow-through, including vendor acknowledgements and delivery dates.
• Coordinate logistics and material movements with suppliers, warehouses, and logistics providers.
• Drive cross-functional follow-up to resolve procurement-related issues.
• Maintain procurement trackers and documentation, including compliance documents.
