Job summary

Actalent in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to manage end-to-end purchasing, supplier relations, and ERP-based inventory analysis in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will handle purchase orders, just-in-time sourcing, safety stock reporting, and collaboration with planning to align production with demand, while pursuing cost savings through strategic sourcing.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in business, procurement, or related field and 5+ years buyer/planner experience.
• Experience creating/managing purchase orders and overseeing inventory activities.
• Hands-on ERP purchasing and inventory management experience.

Responsibilities

• Gather purchasing needs and translate them into procurement actions.
• Manage suppliers to meet just-in-time requirements and optimize turnaround times.
• Enter purchase data into ERP, verify budget categories, create POs, track shipments.
• Purchase structural steels and metals and related components for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with receiving to verify materials and address discrepancies.
• Attend supplier events to stay current with trends and build relationships.
• Assist Expeditor in vendor management and sustain quality service.
• Coordinate production material activities and run Safety Stock reports monthly.
• Plan and monitor production schedule with Planner to align with customer demand.
• Develop ERP reports to monitor inventory levels and material availability.
• Prepare procurement reports for management with clear visibility of supplier performance.
• Troubleshoot discrepancies with internal teams and suppliers to minimize interruptions.
