Job summary

APM Terminals Elizabeth is seeking an Assistant Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end procurement activities for services, supplies, inventory and equipment at the Elizabeth terminal. You will collaborate across Operations, Maintenance, Finance, HSSE, and Supply Chain to forecast spend and drive value through process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical capability with experience in spend data, cost models, supplier benchmarking, market analysis, and savings initiatives.
• Experience with procurement lifecycle management, contract management, vendor management, and sourcing processes.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end procurement activities for services, supplies, inventory, and equipment, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing for the terminal.
• Assist with sourcing and tendering activities, including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, bid evaluations, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Finance, HSSE, and Supply Chain teams to understand demand, forecast spend, and align procurement initiatives with business priorities.
• Develop and maintain procurement analytics, including spend reporting, category analysis, vendor performance tracking, savings identification, and Total Cost of Ownership modelling.
• Support supplier relationship management, onboarding activities, contract compliance monitoring, and supplier performance evaluation across quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
• Partner with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate transaction processing and resolve invoicing, payment, and reconciliation issues.
• Support governance, responsible procurement, risk management, digital procurement initiatives, procurement reporting, and special projects while providing backup support to procurement leadership when required.
