Job summary

APM Terminals Elizabeth is seeking an Assistant Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end procurement for services, supplies, inventory, and equipment at a busy North American port terminal.

You will work with regional and global procurement teams, drive digital tools and process improvements, and partner with Operations, Maintenance, Finance, and HSSE to optimize spend and supplier performance. This role emphasizes continuous improvement and ethical sourcing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles, ideally within logistics or terminal environments.
• Strong analytical capability with spend data, cost models, supplier benchmarking, market analysis, and savings initiatives.
• Familiarity with procurement governance, compliance requirements, and ethical sourcing practices.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end procurement activities for services, supplies, inventory, and equipment for the terminal.
• Assist with sourcing and tendering activities, including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Finance, HSSE, and Supply Chain to forecast spend and align initiatives.
• Develop and maintain procurement analytics, spend reporting, and vendor performance tracking.
• Support supplier relationship management, onboarding, and contract compliance monitoring.
