Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization across our manufacturing network in West Chicago, IL. You will partner with leadership to develop strategies, evaluate suppliers, monitor markets, and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires 5+ years in procurement, strong negotiation, ERP experience, and excellent communication. You’ll collaborate with operations, technical teams, and planning to secure reliable supply

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement, sourcing, or purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven success in improving supplier performance, cost management, quality, and delivery metrics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain productive supplier and stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience using procurement, purchasing, or ERP software systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of working independently while contributing to team objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with procurement and supply chain leadership to develop and execute sourcing strategies that support business objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to improve supply security, quality, and cost competitiveness.
  • Monitor commodity markets, industry trends, and supply chain risks to address disruptions and cost impacts.
  • Work with operations, technical teams, commercial functions, and supply chain stakeholders to support initiatives and financial goals.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with standards and expectations.
  • Track procurement metrics and supplier KPIs, using data analysis to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Maintain purchasing records, supplier scorecards, and contract documentation.
  • Collaborate with planning and production teams to understand demand forecasts and secure material supply.
  • Lead negotiations for pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders across multiple facilities.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination of material requirements throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
