Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage Master Production Schedule and material requirements.
  • Coordinate production schedules to meet customer demands while maintaining quality.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Ensure supplier performance in quality, delivery, and availability.
  • Oversee inventory audits, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Analyze production schedules and inventory trends to identify improvements.
  • Collaborate across Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Purchasing.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing to optimize inventory and reduce waste.
  • Review orders and adjust schedules to changing business demands.
  • Drive continuous improvement focusing on productivity and cost savings.
  • Maximize Plex and related ERP tools usage.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead purchasing, inventory management, production scheduling, logistics, and supplier performance for a manufacturing facility. This role serves as the key connection between corporate supply chain functions and plant operations, ensuring uninterrupted material flow, inventory accuracy, on-time customer deliveries, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the facility's Master Production Schedule and sourced material requirements.
  • Coordinate production schedules to meet customer demands while maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to support operational needs.
  • Ensure supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, and material availability.
  • Oversee inventory audits, reporting, reconciliation, and inventory management processes.
  • Analyze production schedules, inventory trends, and operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Purchasing teams to improve processes, reduce costs, and support production goals.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize inventory, improve product flow, and reduce waste.
  • Review customer orders and recommend schedule adjustments to support changing business demands.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, delivery performance, and cost savings.
  • Maximize utilization of the Plex inventory management system and related ERP tools.
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of supply chain, materials management, purchasing, or production planning experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in inventory management, scheduling, customer service, and supplier relations.
  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • CPIM or CPSM certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Understanding of U.S. Customs compliance and C-TPAT regulations is beneficial.
