  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Supply Chain or related field.
  • 5+ years procurement experience in manufacturing.
  • People leadership/management experience.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with ERP systems; SAP S/4HANA highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with high-SKU product environments is a strong plus.
  • Experience with chemicals, raw materials, or highly technical manufacturing categories is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement and sourcing strategies with senior leadership.
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify alternative suppliers to strengthen supply chain resilience.
  • Monitor market conditions, trends, and risks to manage cost, availability and continuity.
  • Build partnerships with operations, supply chain, technical and commercial teams.
  • Lead supplier relationship management, including performance reviews and audits.
  • Establish and track supplier scorecards and KPIs for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and align plans with production.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and conditions for favorable outcomes.
  • Coordinate material flow across multiple manufacturing locations.
  • Contribute to development and scalability of procurement functions and best practices.

Job description

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead sourcing, supplier management, and procurement strategy across a diverse portfolio of materials and goods. This is a newly created leadership position offering the opportunity to help shape procurement processes, influence long-term sourcing strategies, and contribute to the continued growth of the organization.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, skilled negotiator, and collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will partner closely with supply chain, operations, technical, and commercial teams to ensure supply continuity, cost optimization, and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement and sourcing strategies in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify alternative suppliers to strengthen supply chain resilience.
  • Monitor market conditions, commodity trends, and supply risks to proactively manage cost, availability, and business continuity.
  • Build strong partnerships with operations, supply chain, technical, and commercial stakeholders to support business objectives.
  • Lead supplier relationship management activities, including performance reviews, audits, and ongoing evaluations.
  • Establish and track supplier scorecards and key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and align procurement plans with production requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and conditions that deliver favorable outcomes for the organization.
  • Support multiple manufacturing locations by coordinating material flow and maintaining effective communication across teams.
  • Contribute to the development and scalability of procurement functions, processes, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • 5+ years of procurement experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Previous people leadership or management experience required.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven success improving supplier performance, cost effectiveness, quality, and delivery results.ce is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with ERP systems; SAP S/4HANA experience highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with high-SKU product environments is a strong plus.
  • Procurement experience involving chemicals, raw materials, or highly technical manufacturing categories is highly desirable.
