A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead sourcing, supplier management, and procurement strategy across a diverse portfolio of materials and goods. This role will partner closely with supply chain, operations, technical, and commercial teams to ensure supply continuity, cost optimization, and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement and sourcing strategies in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify alternative suppliers to strengthen supply chain resilience.
- Monitor market conditions, commodity trends, and supply risks to proactively manage cost, availability, and business continuity.
- Build strong partnerships with operations, supply chain, technical, and commercial stakeholders to support business objectives.
- Lead supplier relationship management activities, including performance reviews, audits, and ongoing evaluations.
- Establish and track supplier scorecards and key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and align procurement plans with production requirements.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and conditions that deliver favorable outcomes for the organization.
- Support multiple manufacturing locations by coordinating material flow and maintaining effective communication across teams.
- Contribute to the development and scalability of procurement functions, processes, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- 5+ years of procurement experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Previous people leadership or management experience required.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven success improving supplier performance, cost effectiveness, quality, and delivery results.ce is highly preferred.
- Experience working with ERP systems; SAP S/4HANA experience highly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with high-SKU product environments is a strong plus.
- Procurement experience involving chemicals, raw materials, or highly technical manufacturing categories is highly desirable.
