Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Procurement Superintendent in the United States to oversee sourcing for capital projects. You will manage supplier performance, contract compliance, and end-to-end procurement activities, reporting to the Director of Supply Chain.

You will lead competitive bid processes, evaluate supplier proposals, and ensure milestones are achieved with internal stakeholders. Strong negotiation and contract skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
• 5+ years in procurement or strategic sourcing.
• Experience with capital projects and supplier negotiations.
• Strong supplier management and contract administration.

Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Superintendent to oversee the sourcing of goods and services while ensuring supplier performance, contract compliance, and successful execution of procurement activities supporting capital projects. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, this individual will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, leading competitive bid processes, and partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities for goods, equipment, and services supporting capital projects.
• Manage the complete tender process, including supplier prequalification, bid preparation, proposal evaluation, negotiations, and contract awards.
• Conduct commercial and technical evaluations of supplier proposals.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving continuous improvements in safety, schedule, cost, and performance.
• Partner with engineering, project management, and other internal stakeholders to ensure procurement milestones are achieved.
• Expedite supplier deliverables and proactively resolve procurement-related issues.
• Work with leadership and legal teams to address contractual and commercial matters.
• Mentor and provide guidance to other procurement team members as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience.
• Experience supporting engineering, construction, mining, industrial manufacturing, or other capital project environments is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing capital procurement initiatives.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract administration skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.

We're looking for someone who has experience supporting large capital projects, managing competitive sourcing events, negotiating commercial agreements, and building strong supplier partnerships. The ideal candidate is comfortable working cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and project teams while balancing cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
