Job summary

Kansas State University is seeking a dedicated Supply Specialist to support Housing & Dining Services with purchasing, inventory, warehouse, and material distribution for Facilities Management. You will ensure parts and supplies are available for maintenance teams, oversee storeroom operations, and manage stock levels to meet project deadlines.

The role requires at least one year in a warehouse or storekeeping environment, a valid driver’s license, and familiarity with inventory control

Qualifications

• Requires one year of relevant experience in stores or warehouse operations.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Proficiency in stock control and order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify materials for quality, quantity, and PO compliance.
• Issue and deliver parts, materials, tools, and supplies to Facilities Management staff.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels using usage history and projected needs.
• Research and source replacement parts with manufacturers, distributors, and vendors.
• Place orders for stock items and identify new products for future operations.
• Prepare purchase requisitions and related documentation per State purchasing requirements.
• Generate receiving reports, reorder forms, and inventory adjustments.
• Collaborate with trades supervisors to anticipate material needs for projects.
• Perform procurement duties in the supervisor's absence.
• Provide guidance on Microix, Concur, purchasing procedures, and policies.
