Cool Clean Technologies in Minnesota is hiring a Procurement Engineer to own procurement and inventory end to end, translating complex BOMs into actionable purchasing plans and stocking strategies. You will link engineering and purchasing, ensuring alignment with sales projections and build schedules.

This role requires reading engineering drawings, negotiating with vendors, and maintaining accurate procurement data.

Qualifications

Engineering-minded professional with ability to understand complex mechanical systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents – BOMs, drawings, and specs – and translate them into purchasing actions.
Strong organizational skills and data hygiene to keep inventory records accurate.

Responsibilities

Interpret engineering BOMs for engineered-to-order systems (high-pressure vessels, CO₂ cleaning assemblies).
Set and maintain inventory parameters for hundreds of components across product lines.
Manage reordering process with timely purchase orders to support the production schedule.
Own vendor relationships, source and qualify suppliers, negotiate pricing and lead times.
Align inventory with demand by translating sales projections into material requirements.
Maintain procurement data in SAP Business One and coordinate across tools (e.g., Monday.com).
Manage lead times and risk for long-lead materials (engineered polymers, pressure components).
Support cost control through sourcing strategy, order consolidation, and inventory optimization.
Partner with engineering, fabrication, and quality to ensure purchased parts meet specs and compliance.
