Job summary

Vallen Distribution, Inc is seeking a Customer Service Representative to serve customers at a client location, delivering exceptional service by coordinating purchases that meet price, quality, timing, and supply reliability.

You will perform procurement tasks, monitor orders, liaise with vendors, and support cost-saving opportunities while adhering to SOPs and maintaining a clean, professional work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, 1+ years procurement experience preferred.
• Computer skills and aptitude to learn ERP and Inventory Management applications.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with MS-Office products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement activities to ensure customer demand is met and aligned with purchasing strategies.
• Expedite or de-expedite orders for optimal delivery.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Research and assess vendors to meet specifications, pricing, and delivery standards.
• Monitor quality and timeliness of products; coordinate returns or replacements.
• Communicate order status with customers and resolve vendor issues.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Identify opportunities for customer cost savings.
• Follow SOPs; keep worksite professional and neat.
• Overtime may be required.
